About Matt

Matt is a British/American Music Director with a First-Class BA in Music from the University of Nottingham and an MA with Distinction in Musical Direction from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. He is a multi-instrumentalist, specialising in arranging/orchestration, piano accompaniment, and conducting. He has previously coached at various drama schools including ArtsEd, Mountview, Urdang, and Tiffany Theatre College. He was a Senior Music Tutor at ArtsEd between Sep 2022 and Nov 2023, then went on to MD an acclaimed production of The Drowsy Chaperone with the third year students.

Matt has depped on Keys 1 on Mandela (Young Vic), Keys 2 on the UK tours of Dreamgirls, Sister Act (UK Tour, Dominion, Evertim Apollo), and Greatest Days. He has been an Associate Conductor for Only Fools and Horses, We Will Rock You and The Lightning Thief (Other Palace) as well as working on various orchestration projects.
